Adult Therapy in Lakewood, Colorado
Helping you feel more connected—to yourself, your relationships, and the life you want to build.
You may look capable on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, or stuck inside. Therapy can offer a steady place to understand what you are carrying, make sense of patterns that no longer serve you, and develop more compassionate ways of relating to yourself and others.
A SAFE, COLLABORATIVE PLACE TO BEGIN
The Secure Attachment Initiative provides attachment-based, trauma-informed outpatient therapy for adults. Your therapist will meet you with curiosity and respect, work at a pace that feels manageable, and shape treatment around your goals rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
ADULT THERAPY MAY SUPPORT YOU WITH
Anxiety and persistent worry
Depression, numbness, or loss of motivation
Trauma and painful past experiences
Grief and significant life transitions
Relationship or attachment patterns
Self-worth, boundaries, and emotional regulation
Feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck
HOW WE WORK
Depending on your needs and your therapist’s training, treatment may draw from Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), somatic approaches, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and other experiential methods. The goal is not simply to manage symptoms, but to support deeper understanding, resilience, and lasting change.
IN-PERSON AND TELEHEALTH OPTIONS
Meet with a therapist at our Lakewood office or through telehealth anywhere in Colorado. We accept Colorado Medicaid from every region and all major commercial insurance plans except TRICARE. Our team can quickly verify your coverage and help you understand your options before you schedule.
